Modlbldr Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Wow! bbowser, that thing looks like it should have fridge magnets stuck all over it. LOL! Looks great in white. Car-man- great fade paint job. what colors are those? Later-
W-409 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I have this one, it's just a basis for a project, I didn't build it to look like that, but hopefully it'll turn into somekind of Gasser? Not sure yet.
CorvairJim Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Here's mine, built right out of the box: Sorry about the blurry pics. It was an older 2meg camera without a close-up setting.

Car-man- great fade paint job. what colors are those? Later- for the paint ,starting with the nose,métalic silver , then aluma yellow, ,after green lime metalic, then green metalic, then dark green metalic ,and finishing with cheezom teal green, 3 or 4 layer each and 5 coat of clear
mikelo Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Here is an old one I did when the kit first came out. It is Aluma coupe yellow. Different lights make it look a little lighter. Mike
Beavis Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 nice bel-airs fellas! where did those rims come from on the aluma yellow one i must ask? really makes that car pop
jerseyjunker1 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 here is one of mine. i will show another one later.its a 24th scale wcpd converted into barn find junker.
Modlbldr Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Wow! Nice cars all of them. Niko, I really like yours. Very well weathered. Later-
RDean58 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Here is mine that I finished last year. Paint is Testors Auto Lacquer 64 Cheviy Silver/blue. Built OOB. Front fender decals are from the Revell 62 Impala kit.
RDean58 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I did use some F-70 tires from the partsbox & a phot-etched "hang 10" gas pedal, so I guess it really isn't OOB, but really close ;-)
horsepower Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I have this one, it's just a basis for a project, I didn't build it to look like that, but hopefully it'll turn into somekind of Gasser? Not sure yet. I love your idea, there's a lot that can be done with these "Barn Finds" lol

But unless after almost 50 years my memory is starting to fade, isn't the foot pedal supposed to for the right foot? Edited January 25, 2012 by horsepower
Dominik Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Wow! Nice cars all of them. Niko, I really like yours. Very well weathered. Later- ...DONT TOUCH HIM! Yours, Niko, looks perfect as a barnfind! Like a "stock"-brother of mine
bbowser Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Great thread, here's my contribution: Really cool, Mike! Just the right amount of weathering and great dio pic.

Qwit Pushin Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Really cool, Mike! Just the right amount of weathering and great dio pic. Thanks, looks like your fine build,...just a couple of decades of neglect later.
mikelo Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Sorry it took so long. I used the wheels from R/M 67 Chevelle on mine with thte centers painted the same yellow as the car. Loks like Paul and I used the same tires. Mike
