RickRollerLT1 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 My store had testors airplanes on clearence when I was there a few weeks ago, but yesterday I noticed they got some new revell ones and a battletank in place. Does this mean the other stores started their reset? I'd like to know if they gots anything new.
Peter Lombardo Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 The two Micheals I used to frequent have closed down. Clearly, you didn't frequent them enough.
Draggon Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Reset-schmeset, my Michaels is a total mess, and charges an arm and a leg too! I keep hoping only to be disapointed.
scalenut Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 (edited) each Michaels store is run somewhat as it's own entity,I asked the local manager why they didn't have what other stores had and that is what she told me. so I emailed Michaels to ask about it and they told me basically the same thing ... the manager controls a lot of the ordering and stock Edited January 28, 2012 by scalenut
Dirkpitt289 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 All the Michel's by me have the same old stuff. A hand full or 1/48 scale aircraft a PT109 and Titanic. There is also a mix of plastic and prepainted metal cars but its the same cars over and over again. Then the surprising part for me is that the kits at my LHS are actually cheaper then those at the big chain Michael's. To be fair that doesn't take into account sales, coupons and web offerings that the LHS doesn't offer. Of course my LHS has an isle about 50 feet long with both sides filled with cars where as Michael's has an 8 foot one side only.
Big Daddy Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 I went to my local micheals yesterday for some flocking and took a stroll to the model section there isle is about 15 feet long but there prices also jumped to 34.95 won't be buying there any time soon
Danny Lectro Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 I haven't seen a 40-50% off coupon in my Michael's emails in weeks. When I signed up in 3rd quarter of last year, there was one every single week.
Casey Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 (edited) I haven't seen a 40-50% off coupon in my Michael's emails in weeks. When I signed up in 3rd quarter of last year, there was one every single week. Just Google (or Bing) "Michaels coupon" if you have a smart phone. You can simply show the cashier the online 40% off coupon (which is good through Feb. 12th IIRC), s/he'll scan it, and you never need to print anything out. Edited January 28, 2012 by Casey
mademan Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 my local micheals has lots of newer stuff, including bagged snap kits ( 77 monte carlo, 32 ford) for 2.00!!
