Ira Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 VETTE VENTS!!! I cut the Vents from the sides of the Corvette with a Dremel Tool. Next I traced the shape of the vent onto the sides of the CordVette and cut them out with the Dremel Tool and Cutting Wheel. With a little Carving and Sanding the Vents fit right in! I Rough Sanded the area with a File Board, then smoothed it down with some 220 Sandpaper. We Got Vents!!!
bobthehobbyguy Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Ira, Glad you are back on this one. Don't know your plans for the windshield are but I think that a duval style windshield would fit the design.. Keep up the good work. bobthehobbyguy

Ira Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Blending the Parts... I Cut and Fit 4 pieces of plastic to Bridge the Gap between the Fenders and the Rear of the CordVette. Here is another view! I spread putty over all the rough spots, now for some more Sanding...
crazyjim Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Cordvette is looking MARVELOUS, Ira. Keep on sanding.
Austin T Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Any color in mind? There are to many yellow Corvettes, you need to go with a red metal flake.
Joe Handley Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Any color in mind? There are to many yellow Corvettes, you need to go with a red metal flake. X2 on the Red, perhaps a deep Candy Red Trust me, that paint looks incredible in person!
deja-view Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Nahhhhh... Didja ever see the movie "Corvette Summer"? You don't wanna go there. Don't want to be too bold because the car is already bold enough. Ordinarily I'd love a burnt cinnamon metallic or orange pearl, but I'm not so sure on this car. You can combine classic Cord colors with Classic Corvette colors: Silver and Marlboro Maroon, maybe. Maybe black and silver or black and green?
Ira Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 This just keeps getting better and better. Thanks Ray!

Wagoneer81 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 It's looking good! I like how you're fine-tuning the body with the small filler panels and such. I like the vent placement and the split Cord Windshield will look awesome!
