Nitro Neil Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Nice score Tye. I think I saw this one on eBay myself. Even in this shape it was a little too expensive for my current budget. I'll be watching how this turns out.
Tye Brown Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 Hey thanks man. No I didn't get this off Ebay a very very good friend of mine gave it to me dude. He got it has a glue bomb man

Deathgoblin Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Nice job salvaging such a glue bomb. Your paint job is awesome.
drpndstroy Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 gate to dig up a dinosaur post but what color paint is that? brand and what not I'd like to try to match it for my 1:1 mustang
my80malibu Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Very good work. I am liking it so far. I have two of these kits, Both need headers though, other than that they are sound complete kits.
Chitown Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I've always really liked this car but never had the kit. I don't recall seeing them in stores, even in the early '70s when I first started building. In fact, the only place I've ever seen one for sale is ebay. Does anyone know why this has never been reissued?

Does anyone know why this has never been reissued? The rumor, I have heard is that the molds were destroyed/ or lost or both. Either way its too bad it is a very cool little kit. I also heard it may have been issued only twice in its lifetime, which is a tradgedy because prices for these at auctions can become expensive very quickly.
Tye Brown Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Here is a little peek for ya man lol..Hopefully it will be done by tomorrow man.
Jon Cole Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Hey man! That's gonna be really cool, man! Well man, I'll tell ya how we can get a new plastic kit of this, man! All someone has to do is convince a diecast maker to do one! Then I'll buy it "Because we'll never see this again in plastic, man!" Just like I did with the diecast '55 Chrysler 300. Then those kool kats at Moebius issue the Chrysler in plastic! Man, now I'm stuck with a diecast! That's not groovy, man!
FordRodnKustom Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Far out man. I'm diggin' the cool vibe. Nice work!
jbwelda Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 that thing is an inspiration, literally, to me. ive saved a search or two on ebay but i am not expecting much , and i am not into spending a big $ amount on kits in most cases, but i am hoping to come across a body shell in an auction of a "lot". yep hope springs eternal! great job ty!
