How long to soak resin parts and in what?

Hey guys i just got a Ross Gibson hemi motor and i need to know how long to soak it and in what? This is the first resin ive ever used.........thanks.joe

A lot of people use that Wesley's Bleche White, that whitewall cleaner, and put it in a tupperware container to soak it overnight.

I use Easy Off over cleaner to clean my resin.

Yup, Wesley's Bleche White. Usually I soak for a couple hours, scrub with a tooth brush, rinse with hot water. Then scrub with Dawn dish wash soap, rinse again. Ready to go.

Ordinary Naptha works just fine for degreasing polyurethane resin (also known as charcoal lighter fluid). Naptha works in mere minutes, dissolves waxes, greases, and mold releases (dang, I's a poet and don't know it, but my feet show it, they're Longfellows!) in mere minutes. I used to use Naptha regularly when cleaning parts meant to be sent off to a "chrome" plater, just dumped them in Naptha, stirred them around a bit, then took them out of the Naptha, spread them out on clean paper toweling to dry. Never a problem!

Should the bleach white be straight from the bottle or mix with water ? Also how many times can I use a tub of the stuff to dunk the Resin overnight , or is a one time use?

So i have the Ross Gibson injected hemi. How in the world are you supposed to scrub all those little parts with a toothbrush?...lol

I used it straight for the Last of Ed Fluck's 70 Impala 4dr kits.

I left it over night. Then used it later for paint stripping

I strain it every so often when stripping paint, but either leave it in the soaking container,

or funnel it back into its original bottle.

I have had my Bleche White in a Rubbermaid container for years. When I'm done with it just put the lid on & put it back on the shelf.
