Thor Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Hi I just finished this one a 1965 Chevy Caprice Stw. As some of you chevy did not make a Caprice stw in `65 but i did it as a "what if" model since it was missing some Impala script on the PE fret. It started as a resin body that fit poorly on donor chassis, so i cut the roof of and replaced the ht roof on the kit body with it. tried to detail th engine bay, scratch built brackets for ac compressor, alternator and ps pump and using lead wire as drive belts(3 ea) I used etch from Model car garage for grill and emblems Alclad on bumpers, grille, mirror and door handles Buld thread here http://www.modelcars...l=&fromsearch=1 Some pictures
Dominik Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Wow! Only three pictures from this beautiful Stationwagon? Want to see more from him....front, back, inside...
W-409 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Nice STW Caprice, engine detailing looks sharp. Paintjob is also great. Those wheels and tires are only thing, what's disturbing me, those big wheels and low profile tires just don't fit to beautiful car like this. But anyway, very nice job with it.
Guest Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Stunning! What color is that? Looks like a deep brandywine, almost black.
58 Impala Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Beautiful work. Paint and detail are outstanding.
Erik Smith Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 That is a beautiful model. Excellent job on every aspect. I love the color.
ChevyCoupe41 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Very nice build! Body color is very nice and engine detailing looks good. I'm not a big fan of those big wheels but in this car they looks very good.
