Well there is a reason why you don't find pictures of this car. That is because this body style was a mistake when it was designed, in addition to being way to short for any Pro Mod type build. Are you sure you are wanting to build it into the pro mod class? Or do you mean pro stock, or gas classification? Edited March 17, 2012 by eviltwincustoms
Romell R Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Yeah Like Bart says this car can't be built into a ProMod you'd have to add like 60 scale inches to the thing, Pro Stock or gas yes.
W-409 Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Of course it CAN be built to Pro Mod, but it wouldn't be fast enough in real life. I guess Pacer would be VERY cool Pro Mod car, even if it wouldn't be that fast. But without body modifications it would be something like this very cool Finnish Camaro Pro Mod.
Draggon Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Flintstone makes a resin Pacer Promod. http://www.ebay.com....5-/200304499285
comp1839 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) i think you have what could be a cool project. finding drag race photos of a pacer will be tough. finding anything fast is probably non-existant. i believe glenn has found the body answer for you. the rest is up to you. ask questions there are alot of good answers just waiting. hey, if some one told me an old '55 shoebox wagon would have held the ADRL PX record in 3.50"s. i'd have scoffed. if a shoe box wagon can do it.........why not a fishbowl? here's the shoebox wagon. 1320wayne Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Here's one buildup using the body shown above. This is evidence that it can be built into something somewhat cool looking. Not sure who the builder is or I would mention the name.
stump Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 You know, that's a body I would not have given a second glance........ BUT, man....they look pretty darn wicked when given the treatment, hey....I'd say, dive right in Marty, should be a kool project.

001slick001 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Here is my Pacer It's one of those never ending projects.
001slick001 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 The chassis and wheels are from a Chevelle kit.The engine is from a Firebird. The Optima and dash are scratch built. If you have any questions let please let me know.

W-409 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 It is built to match Pro Mod rules and it has real Pro Mod engine, and the driver originally built it for Pro Modified... But I guess, it'll run in Super Pro Street this summer.
