Contest Issue arrived today.

Hey Wayne i agree with you, I also got my issue sat, enjoyed the coverage, but like you they are model builders in the south and south east also, people taking pics for model cars mag but no pics????? My 2 cents jeff.

Got mine Saturday. Great contest coverage as always. My only nit is the models are shown in a single view. I know this is to allow the most coverage and space limitations, but if I might suggest... set up a new category. One solely for contest coverage. Each thread would be of a given contest and show multiple shots of the models. I also think to keep from us mucking up the thread it should be locked at inception. Look but don't touch kinda thing.

Well, if you think the DSC7 coverage in the new Contest Issue was great, wait 'til you see next year's issue with coverage of this month's Desert Scale Classic 8!

I got mine earlier in the week too. A lot of great eye candy and ideas in there.

One question though, in Gregg's letter he mentions "bar codes" and web links to complete photo albums for the shows to see all the pictures. I'm pretty sure he's referring to a QR code that you can take a picture of with a smart phone, but I didn't see any actually printed in the Mag. Is there something I'm missing or was this something that never played out 100% before printing? Will we see it in future issues? Could be a cool addition.

I also agree that it would be nice to see some different views, but get that it's a layout decision.

I picked my issue up yesterday at HT in Cumming Ga... I loved it but I see that a couple models were duplicated, from different shows.

I know that the first one I noticed was a great model...( but I would rather that space have gone to a different model for more variety)... with a full write up/ follow up in a later issue

But overall a great issue... I really liked the Cor-pala in the last few pages.

Got my issue late last week and have been skimming over it over and over, great coverage and a great job by Gregg and Harry.... even got 2 of mine in there also....you guys always put out a great mag and look fwd to each and every one.....keep up the good work...

I didn't get my copy yet, but I got a compliment from a buddy on my model that made the magazine.
