maltsr Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 This build combines optional custom parts from the recently issued coupe with the older pro-modeller convertible. The fadeaway fenders, custom Olds grill and surround were added to the convertible body, along with the rear fender skirts. The body received a chopped windshield and Carson top which are options in the pro-modeller kit. Paint is Tamiya rattlecan, Sky Blue Anodised Aluminium from the PS range, sprayed over a gloss black base. Interior/hoood are Pearl White, wheels/tyres are from the coupe kit.
rmvw guy Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Nice job putting the two kits together and making a beautiful model.
peter31a Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Sweet 48 Ford custom! Really like the colour choice. It's different than what you usually see on these.
Erik Smith Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 That color turned out really cool. Nice clean build too.
surfjunke Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Absolutely beautiful! Very clean & very well done, love it!
Sixties Sam Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Nice, clean 48! Are those taillights in the bumper guards? Be careful backing up! LOL Great model! Sam
Gluhead Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I was hoping to see that finished soon. What a great looking traditional custom. Very tasteful.
Grumpa Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I've got to agree with "Doc Cranky". This is one classy looking Ford. Using the black as a base makes a big difference in this color. Looks good.
Casey Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 This is one very nice, subtle custom, which I like. Is the Carson top (and interior?) bare plastic?
maltsr Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) This is one very nice, subtle custom, which I like. Is the Carson top (and interior?) bare plastic? Thanks everyone, Casey, they are actually painted Tamiya Pearl White Edited April 10, 2012 by maltsr
Beavis Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 love that the taillights are in the bumper like that, awesome work!
