JamesW Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 This is still in the works. Pretty much just needs paint. Sent the Dodge to a guy on Ebay and he stretched the frame and built the rollback for me.
Dr. Cranky Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Love it, excellent combination and scratch building. Very nice.
hotrod59f100 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 That's cool. I love that beretta . I want one so bad.
midengineaddict Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 A lot of work in that truck, look very nice... impatient to see it finished
JamesW Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Thanks. Again would like to make it clear I didn't build it. I don't want to take credit for someone elses work. I'm just gonna detail it.
midengineaddict Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 (edited) Ok then... ... ... impatient to see it detailed ... I am impatient to see the hydraulic control unit, I think it will be a great project who will catch the Eyes of the spectator, a lot of detail can be integrated in that zone... JustBill Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Very cool James and I agree with Ron, we should all have one! I broke down and bought a die cast just to have one, atleast for now till I get around to building one. This will look good in your collection for sure.
JamesW Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 I kept looking at the Jada ones, but didn't really want to spend $50+ on one.
krazyglu Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I saw the die cast ones at the swap meet for 30$, black or white, but I couldn't come off the $. I really want one and I like where this one is headed.
JustBill Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Yea, I only droped $35 on mine at Carlisle last year. They have some awesome deals on kits there as well. I can always find kits I want for $5-10. Going again this Friday. Its always a great time and its where I get most my kits for the year.
signguy2108 Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 That is going to be nice. Here's one from the late 90's. Rollback bed was a resin kit, but I don't remember who made it.
JamesW Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 Got one of the toolboxes built and hinged, just needs cleanup and foil.
martinfan5 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I kept looking at the Jada ones, but didn't really want to spend $50+ on one. I want to get one of the Jada's as well, I am not sure which Jada tow truck you are talking about, but I have found a few of the rollbacks on ebay for $26 plus $11 shipping, yea its not cheap, but still under $50 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-24-INTERNATIONAL-FLAT-BED-TOW-TRUCK-JADA-DIE-CAST-WHITE-/251053893630?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item3a73fa67fe
