vwrabbit Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Nice work! Did you use the salt method for the rust? I'd like to try it, but afraid it won't turn out so well. Tim
rmvw guy Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I like it, just saw it in Workbench Saturdays. Lol It reminds me so much of the ones I used to see in the '60s. Now they all seem to be all too perfect.
Dr. Cranky Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Excellent weathering and rusting. I like this a lot. Thanks for sharing it.
plasticfrog Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 Thanks guys I put the rust on thick then sanded it with 320 grit and aded more rust solution to it
charlie8575 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I must agree, very nicely done. Charlie Larkin
RobRus Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Very nice job with the rust, I am not a big fan of it but you really captured what I barn find looks like. The only critique I have is the wheels should have the same amount of dust on the lower part of the rim. That is unless you had to put new tires and wheels on it to move it out of the barn.... Oh that's right, this IS a model... Great job for your first.
plasticfrog Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 Great looking weathering Jason! For your first time,I'm very impressed. Where are the wheels from? The wheels came from the American Graffti diecast 55 chevy kit...

kruleworld Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 i'm impressed with your weathering, looks realistic.
