Anyone check the flat head Ford firing order, 15863372. It should be 15486372, the same as the y-block Ford. I guess MSD doesn't feel the need to fire number 4 on a flattie. Apparently no proof reading.

I have this same chart in a drawer near my workbench- the Flathead order has been corrected, and I've even added a few crudely-drawn diagrams for engines not shown on the chart.

It's all related to the cam timing Andy, but for s and g's, notice how not all the brands number the cylinders the same. If you were to number them all alike, a lot of them would run the same order physically on the block. Something interesting to look at, search a Chevy 5,7 swap cam.

I have a similar chart that Fatkidd gave me. In addition to the firing order at the cylinders, it also gives the location on the distributor.

One of the rotations of the Mopar engines are wrong. Big block distributors rotate counter clockwise, hemi's too. Small clocks rotate clockwise.
