Darin Bastedo Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Title pretty much says it all, If they exist a link to purchase them would be appreciated too. Thanks in advance.
Scottnkat Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I made some for myself to use. PM me if you want
Art Anderson Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Fred Cady did, perhaps 25 years ago. Sadly though, Fred retired from decal making about 10 years ago. Art

Rob Hall Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Given Revell's long history of doing IPC kits, I'm surprised they haven't done one of the Cutlass yet..

Art I was under the impression (in other words, I "heard") he will still sell them, but it is via snail mail only. No idea if that's 100% accurate or not but it might be worth a try. You might also want to call Model Empire in West Allis, WI, and see if they have a sheet.

Methinks Fred may have sold his remaining stocks to the likes of Model Empire, and Spotlight Hobbies (Tom Carter had a ton of them on his website a couple of months back. But give Fred a try at any rate, after he shut down, he was still selling remaining stock of decals directly while supplies lasted. Art

Art A lot of his remaing stock went to Venture Hobbies but have since sold out. They still show up on ebay though.
W-Machine Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) I'd like to get a set of those pace car decals, as Fred Cady's are rarer than hens teeth. E-mail me an offer and I'm sure we can come to an agreement. My e-mail address is craigenz@comcast.net Edited April 26, 2012 by W-Machine
W-Machine Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 A big thanks goes out to Scott Garner, who was kind enough to e-mail me the artwork he created to make those pace car decals. This illustrates the spirit of the people involved in the model car community in a big way.
Greg Wann Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I bought a set for the 70 off of Evilbay some time ago. They were sent to me by a guy named Raymond Gravely. He was selling all kinds of rare pace car sets. I do have an address but that is it. He may not be selling anymore.
Darin Bastedo Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 Big thank you to Scott Garner. He printed out a couple of sets of his decals for me. They arrived today! They look great!
Casey Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 FYI, I talked with Alex(?) at Model Empire Friday, and he mentioned Fred Cady sells only to three distributors, with Model Empire being one of those. Fred doesn't sell direct, nor by snail mail, so if you need any Fred Cady decal sheet, please give Model Empire a call. I paged through a bunch of Fred Cady decal sheets at Model Empire Friday, including Pace Car sheets (I recall '73 Cadillac, '71 Challenger, a Studebaker, the '82 Camaro and more), and they still have many, many FC decal sheets on hand.
