What a great thread, so much fun to follow. Awesome job as usual, Doc! A lot of very creative & cool ideas.

Maybe those pasties should be put on a pair of D cup dagmars!

I just can't let go that Virgil does his name right. He is as wild as Exner, and I love his work as well.

Here's a technical question in hopes someone can answer it. What is the standard height for the chair rails for a wall? Is it about 4 ft? I want to create a wood rail (if that's what they call it) all around the room with wall paper below the rail . . .

There's no "official" chair rail height. Ask 10 carpenters and you'll probably get 10 different answers. One "rule" says 1/3 of the way up from the floor to the ceiling, another "rule" says 36" no matter what the ceiling height. Anything between about 28" to 38" or so would be "right."

I say do what looks good and proportional to your eye.

Thanks, Harry, you are probably right . . . I just did a little preliminary research and there's nothing standard . . . probably not even way back in the parlor room days . . . or the days of the red light district houses . . . so yes, I will eyeball it and see how it goes.

Getting the walls ready, stay tuned in for some more progress . . . I keep testing the look of everything. Man, thank heavens most of this stuff is movable and portable.

I just watched the latest video. Man the stage looks great, love the curtains too. I also just noticed the lace fender skirts on the Merc, nice touch. What's next tassles hanging from the headlights? lol
