tiking Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 Thank you David for your kind comment. I do try although I still have much to learn.
Harry P. Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 That truck could pass for the real thing. Very well done.
tiking Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 Thanks to you both. Dave, the truck chassi was originally used as an experimental military truck with armors. I removed the cab and built a new one. I jusr re-weathered the chassi and added a few other details.
Mister Twister Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 The diorama is really impressive and the subtle (not to heavy) weathering puts it over the top. Beautiful work!
tiking Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 Thank you Darryl. Although there is still a little more work until t is completed.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Outstanding weathering, and very nice subject matter too. And I can't believe you used styrofoam for the base and made it look so good. Excellent all around. Thanks for sharing, Charles.

Dr. Cranky Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 A lot of military modelers do that to their dioramas . . . use a picture frame.
tiking Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Thanks. Will do. Being a model builder I should know better.
