Brokentail58 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 your dragster is looking awesome. Makes me want to do another front engine car.
Ira Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Ahh ok, that makes sense. Well I'm loving your ideas, can't wait to see it all finished, keep it up. Thanks Jason!
Dr. Cranky Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Again, beautiful work on that body. Moving right along, Ira.
JasonFL Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Moving right along. I didn't notice this before until you put it into primer but I love how those panel lines carry onto the body, over the rear wheels and on the roof. I almost would rather just see it in a solid color so you don't lose all these beautiful lines but it's not gonna matter either way, it's gonna look killer. I'm excited to see it coming all together
Ira Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 This build is a really good idea. Nice combination. Thanks for the kind words Dave!
Ira Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 That Hog head is just awesome, the perfect added touch,Ira this is why you are a master at these "Toon" creations!!! Thanks for the kind words Mike, Glad you like it!
Ira Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Now we're talking ... I always enjoyed the Hoggs on the Rupp Farm! Thanks Glenn!
Ira Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Ira, This is over the top. Love the hog head. bobthehobbyguy Thanks Bob!
Ira Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Ira is at it again! Good stuff going on here! Thanks Jeff!
Dirty Gringo Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 you do some very inspirational work thanks for sharing all these detailed builds
Ira Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 ONE MORE THING!!! I Boxed in the Nose and made a Front Axle Mount before the Final Coat of Primer. I also made a Full Belly Pan that will be Painted Gloss Black. Now For Some Paint!!!
Ira Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 FLAMING ORANGE HOG VETTE!!! I applied a coat of Testors Diamond Dust, then I sprayed 3 more coats of Testors Flaming Orange! After the Orange dried I masked off the body and sprayed 2 coats of Gloss Black! Turned out OK, Thank Goodness!!! I always worry that the paint will run under the masking tape...
cobraman Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I always spray a coat of clear after masking before spraying a second color on a 2 tone paint job. Works good.
Modellpularn Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) Another cool creation, Ira!! What makes you tick, or have this creativity? Seems like mine's gone out the window, or something... Edited June 2, 2012 by Modellpularn
Ira Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 Another great looking build !! One question about Squlpey . What is it ? Thanks Andy! Squlpey is a modeling clay that you bake in the oven to dry.
Ira Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 FATTENING UP THE HOG!!! I started Painting the Hog and realized that He was Too Thin in the Cheeks! I added some Squadren Putty to each Cheek. The Putty works well with the Squlpey. I think that's enough Fat, Now I'll get back to Painting again...
1930fordpickup Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 The paint looks great Ira and thanks for the info on the Squlpey.
cobraman Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 It looks quite a bit better with the added putty. I love how you seem to never be satisfied until it is just right.
Ira Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 HOG GRAPHICS!!! After a lot of Cutting and Fitting, and Solvaset, I got the Hog Decals on the Body! Here is the Bi-Level Wing... Hope you like it!
John Teresi Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Ira.......I really really like this one.......you come up with the greatest ideas........can`t wait to see it finished
