David G.
An excellent "over the top" custom. I saw a lot of this type of customization at the old AutoRama shows in the 70's. David G.

Joker
Picture taken at last nites Richmond Automotive Modelers Society (R.A.M.S) meeting by club member Sir George. Made a tire cover out of a spare tire cover from a 32 Vicky(silver). The black one is from a 36 Ford,it came in second...LOL First I traced a dime then I penciled in the pattern. Scribed out the pattern with a #11 X-Acto blade Next..sand ..primer and paint Been thinking of making the 3 square cans for display too i.e. * Gas * Oil * H2O * James aka Joker Edited June 9, 2012 by Joker
Dirty Gringo
ohhh I like that idea hmmm haha 56 ford brothers unite all ideas hahahaoh and that spare tire is pretty ###### sweet looks like be a pain in the ass to do
Joker
ohhh I like that idea hmmm haha 56 ford brothers unite all ideas hahaha oh and that spare tire is pretty ###### sweet looks like be a pain in the ass to do Another option would be to glue half round styrene on a separate piece of plastic and glue to a spare tire..covering up the rim part and leaving the tire exposed. Long live the 56 Ford brothers...hahaha

Joker
Big thanks for the encouragements. A little update..made the rims fit tighter in the tire..big improvement ! Got some 26 gauge red insulated wire and piped the interior and spare tire cover. Still having a time with the red scallops...sanded them off and recleared the body...a third time. I have got to get some vynil fine line..the blue masking tape won't do curves right...grrrr Any hoo..here are some new pixs.. @ Tim R. thanks..I've seen the "found" car over at H.A.M.B. the Alexander Bros. are standing next to it. Rest in Peace Larry James aka Joker
cobraman
Looks great ! If you trim the blue tape into thin strips it will bend very good.

Joker
Third time is NOT the charm. I might be able to rescue the third set of scallops with a small brush and thinned out black paint. On a good note...the shifter was replaced with a candy cane tear drop..replaced the brass knuckle shifter.LOL Detailed a record player for the trunk in the same white pearl and mirrored lid.
