Hey Guys,

Looking for feedback from anyone who has used the Miter Rite tool. I have used the Chopper, Midwest, Zona, and X-acto miter boxes. Looking for a durable tool that will allow cutting of multiple angles on small pieces of styrene stock. Any feedback would be appreciated Thanks.

I bought a miter rite last year, and I'm quite pleased with it. The saw blade is held snug so your cuts end up much more precise and consistent (compared to the aluminum miter boxes, which allow the saw blade to wiggle back and forth a bit due to the width of the slots). Plus you can set any angle you want instead of being limited to 90 and 45 degrees.

I have one and find it's OK, but not a high quality tool. It's all plastic but it does hold the saw well enough. I do a lot of angle cuts on small pieces and I find those difficult to hold in place. I use tape to hold the piece in place many times. The best part is you can cut at any angle. If I need a "common" angle available on my aluminum miter box, I prefer to use that.
