... But could a FORD pickup carry a CHEVY like that? Didn't think so! :):D:P

(But then a Chevy wouldn't need to be carried like that either, since it wouldn't be broken down in the first place!)

Several times when I've bought mini motors (complete motor , gearbox, diff unit) cheap I've taken the passenger seat out (two bolts with wingnuts is all it takes) and sat the motor on the floor where the seat was . Ratchet strap from the seatbelt mounts and it's set :) One I took about 350 klms like that and it travelled well . The motor unit weighs about 150 kgs and is pretty stable .

Another time I did 900 klm in the sports850 with essentially another mini (bought a restoration project , the body went in a furniture truck , the rest in the mini) in pieces in it . I have photo's somewhere of it loaded and then everything from it laid out on the floor of the garage . I only had the space of the drivers seat and all the stuff weighed around 450kg (with me the load was the same weight as the mini itself ...) .

You know what's funny niko .my cousin took a pic of the red pickup with the ford on the back as it got pulled over by the NY state trooper.

The PU even has a tow-bar. I assume hiring a trailer would have been cheaper than the ticket issued by the constable?

I'm sure . The sad part is he was probley taking the car to the scrap yard in which he still would not get enough to pay for the fins.Whare I live you can't tow a vehicle with chains or tow straps either. If you do you get some hefty fines. Edited by hotrod59f100

Didn't take a picture of it, but, I once hauled an IH Loadstar fiberglass tilt hood on the roof of my Scout....complete with grill and headlights!
