crazyjim Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I just completed this puppy. It's in HOK cocoa pearl. I left some parts off (nitrus bottles, amps, big rear wing) because I didn't like the look of them.
DDC Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Interior looks great, nice and clean. Is that the fast and furious kit?
Patrick2005 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Car looks sweet. Did you lay the windshield back?
keepleft Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 look a lil skewwif?, did you push the window down?
crazyjim Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 Thanks Denzil. Yes it's the Fast & Furious kit. Green on the box. The windshield is just like it came from the box, Patrick & Jack. Looking at the pic it does look slightly laid back, but the clear piece fit just perfect. The roof piece is a snug fit. I left it off to be able to see the interior better. Thanks Marty.
Rob Hall Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Looks like the body was warped, w/ the windshield frame mashed down like that..
crazyjim Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 I don't know. The windshield fit in perfectly.
crazyjim Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 I see it now. Why would the glass fit so well if the frame was warped? I'l have to try and repair it.
charlie8575 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Actually, the extreme rake is kinda cool. I like the color, too. Charlie Larkin
Gcustoms Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 working on rebuilding the same kit actually, kinda nice to see another one being built!
John Teresi Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Jim......I really like the color......I will have to try it soon......thanks for sharing.
crazyjim Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 Actually, the extreme rake is kinda cool. I like the color, too. Charlie Larkin I'm going to try and fix the windshield, Charlie. The paint is HOK cocoa pearl. working on rebuilding the same kit actually, kinda nice to see another one being built! How's your windshield frame, Cam? Thanks John. I'm going to try the cocoa and fog in some root beer on some other build. Should be a fairly subtle difference.
Gcustoms Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 It was at the correct angle when I got it. It's now in the scrap bin because it no longer works with what I'm doing with the car. I thought you did a chop-top thing with it, thought that was kinda cool!
crazyjim Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 I think it does look good at the present angle. I can see how much lower it is in the pic Harry supplied and will see what I can do with it.
