gluebomb1 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Hi, have never posted my work before. I came across a few sites so figured i would share. here's my take on the revell 5 window kit. out of the box for the most part. a couple details on the engine and some tires from my extras bin. so here's a few progress pictures hope you like it so far
W-409 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 That's very nice weathering. Looks realistic & Old School to me. Good job! Headers are bit strange, but otherwise really good lookin' Deuce.
Johan020 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 wow thats a very nice rat Good job on the weathering
TooOld Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Looks very good to me ! Even the tires match the rest of the car . I'm glad you didn't go overboard on the weathering , sometimes that ruins the model .
jdcar32 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 In reference to the header comment, I suppose a set of traditional "lakes" style headers would look good on this build. I really like it so far......
LAone Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 nice rat. love the weathering, its not over done. looks good so far
bryan_m Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 i missed this one! nice weathering, and wiring. it looks nice and aged, but not too rotten! the headers look great too.......they look homemade, and really burnt, very nice touch. ratrods are a ton of fun to build, i always enjoy building them, and lookin at them! keep up the great work cheers bryan
Gluhead Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Nothing rat rod about that, from where I'm sitting. Looks straight out of the HAMB (and that's a great thing!). Great job. As others have said, the weathering is dead nuts on...really good mojo.
