This may be a dumb question but I will risk it. Why do some photos come as thumbnails ? I must admit that I rarely look at all of the ones on a subject but maybe just 2. Are they phone pics ?

The ones that appear thumb'd are uploaded from a users gallery here on the site. Or they attached photos at the time of their posting. Users whom use Fotki for instance can use the pic button and point to the image itself non-thumb'd.

Because some of us (me) are to old to learn how to use our fotki account. Oneday I will learn. I admit, would probably increase the views if I could.

It's just another/different way to add pictures to a post, Ray. If the pictures are on your computer's hard drive, they can be easily uploaded and added to your post using the attachment feature.

No offense, Ray. I hope Casey's explanation was satisfactory.

Kidding aside, I just load my pics off the memory card from the camera. That way I don't have to take up space on my laptop' s harddrive. I store a set of pics on another computer in my sign shop, then delete em off the memory card. It's just easier for me until i figure fotky out and if i"m signed in to the forum, they show up as pics anyway.

I thought there was a cumulative limit to the amount of images that could be attached in posts from your hard drive.

I think there is a limit, but Ray's question seemed to be more about how than how many.
