Building a model of my high school hot rod.. a 72 Chevy Nova with the 250 straight six... ar ethere any models out there (or resin) with a 250 straight six, or at least close?

The Trumpeter '63 Chevy II Nova kit includes a straight six: http://blog.modeljun...from-trumpeter/

The AMT '60 Chevy pickup is about the next closest in 1/25 scale.

Chuck Most used the Trumpeter '63 Nova engine in his '70 Nova:

if I ecall, that trumpeter is crazy $$$ compared to a regular kit... BUT, I migt maybe have the Chevy.. I know I have SOME old Chevy trucks around here. otherwise it'll be a curbside for now!<LOL

next gotta find some good bench seats for a 72 nova... I found 2 from a older car in my parts box that match.. and was able to fill the seam (split benches).. but then the sprimer sputtered and I have to resand em... although the texture is great for the carpets!<LOL>

The Trumpeter Nova kits are the only game in town for the 194/230/250 Chevy 6. The AMT '69 Chevy truck is a comletely different engine, being the 235/261 block.

There is a 6 cylinder Chevy engine available from MCW Automotive Finishes. It has a generator and alternator depending on which years you are depicting.

I bought a couple later resin 6 cyl Chevy engines a few years ago IIRC from Missing Link Resin, don't know if they still cast them...plan to use 'em in a '69 Nova and a '69 Camaro.

Did not see anything at Missing Link but then they tend to have more available at shows or on eBay. I did see where VCG Resins had a 6 cylinder Chevy engine listed, although it did not say what all came with the engine (manifolds, pulleys, carb etc).

Just took a look at the VCG Resins Chevy 6. It's a '37-'52 216, possibly cast from the AMT '37 Chevy, since it has the pre-war "crashbox" 3 speed attached to it.
