Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 A tribute to the 1940 Ford, just the way Uncle Henry made them, for me the only way to build them. Use as soundtrack the song "Anything Goes" by Cole Porter
Joker Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Neat little details on the vent windows Tulio. Just sits right too. Thanks for posting.
espo Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Ford had a lot of good looking cars for many years. Like you I think the forty was the best.
rmvw guy Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 (edited) Excellent job on both! Love the pictures! Edited August 11, 2012 by rmvw guy
Shardik Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 You and Henry both got it right! I'm going to have a go at the turtleback as soon as I finish some other projects, and will be consulting these photos when I do. I know it kind of spoils the illusion, but would you mind posting some color shots?
Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 11, 2012 Author Posted August 11, 2012 Thanks for the feedback guys, me and the Fords loved it. I posted a topic about the Tudor Sedan already, but I don't ming posting tsome color pictures of it. Hope those pictures can give you some help Johann. The paint I used was Tamiya TS-11 Maroon, thats a very close match to the Ford Mandarin Maroon. Tamiya TS-15 Blue is a match for another Ford color, Washington Blue.
Frank Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Two great builds of one of Henry's most beautiful cars and shiney too.
Shardik Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks for the color shots and paint codes. Beautiful either way!
Dominik Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Two great builds of one of Henry's most beautiful cars and shiney too. x2! Love it!
