The first time I watched the Isle of Man TT was in a movie back in the early 80's. It was a semi documentary called "Up on 2 Wheels". They showed all types of motorcycle racing and when they got to the Isle of Man, they had on board camera....blew me away. Those guys are definitely insane, I try to watch it every year. The other class besides the super bikes that are a blast to watch are the bikes with the sidecars. The guy in the sidecar hangs way out only inches from the asphalt, fun to watch.

Great movie. What do they call the guy on the sidecar ( besides crazy) ?

I participated twice in the Manx TT and I refuse to accept that I could be remotely insane. I mean, I would notice if I was.

My late grandpa participated about 20 times in his life. He is one of the few who raced there before and after WWII. I never noticed the slightest inkling of insanity with him either.

Crazy people don't know their crazy, that's why they act like they do. They think of themselves as quite normal.

I'm the most normal person I know.

What people who aren't biking don't realise however, is that travelling at 170mph is a totally stable condition, much unlike doing such speeds with a car.
