I keep hearing about the purple pond , I need to strip some painted bodies and was wondering what this is ?

Castrol Super Clean ?

If so does it work better than easy off ?

Yep, Super Clean is a clear, semi luminescent purple. Think purple antifreeze. It does well for most enamels and acrylics but it has trouble with some laquers, especially the hotter ones.

Or you can use a product called Purple Power. Same thing as Castrol Super Clean but a lot cheaper.

+2 on Purple Power, used it many times (never on lacquers though,so IDK how that would work, but enamels? yeah) :)

Thanks all. Anyone know if it's safe for resin parts ?

I will give it a try this weekend

It's safer for resin, you may want to test a piece before dunking the whole body as some resins react differently than others.
