  1. Looks like it was to humid in the area you painted or the psi on the air brush was to high allowing the paint to "dry" in mid air. Thats what I think from what I can see. If it was me I would just repaint it.
  2. I also have a Pace Mini Plus booth and it was some of the best money I have spent. I only wish at the time I bought a bigger one but money was hard to come by then. I am still thinking of buying a bigger one now. There is one down side the filters do get clogged with paint quickly. I buy mine from a local ACE Hardware and they are about $5 a piece, just keep that in mind.
  3. I have a promo of a 1956 Desoto Fireflite made by Jo-Han and the chassis is warped what can I do to fix it? The chassis is swagged onto the body so I know its old, I just do not want to jump into this half-assed and ruin it. It was part of a collection of Desotos a good friend gave me, out of 10 or so I got this is the worst one. I have searched for this on the forum but did find a good answer, thanks for any help and tips.
  4. I called them about the faint and some cases missing panel lines Wednesday March 27. I was told that the factory is aware of the issue and in not so many words have fun fixing our screw up. That the next production run SHOULD have that taken care of. So after an hour or so I have more than half of the car done. I would expect this feom an AMT reissue not a new kit. Thats my two cents and sorry for venting.
  5. I have built 125 or so, 20 in progress, then somewhere over 400 unbuilt. I hate to say this but storing them has been getting difficult. With NNL East a month away I really hope I can find more room.
  6. I am one of those that have 18 or so going at once and I wonder why I never get anything done. Plus I also have horrible time management skills.
  7. Or you could finally get a job that you get paid more and work less. Going from 50+hrs a week to 40ish is a lot better.
  8. I can say I have always wanted to do the cars from this movie but never really had the balls to do it. That Corvette looks great I might just watch the movie again tonight. Great Job.
  9. I saw the first few pics and had to look again cause I swore that was a real car.
  10. I did exactly what Motor City did and it works out great.
  11. That's definitely an astounding "practice" run, if I say so myself!
  12. I have the mini-plus Pace spray both and that works fine for 1/24-1/25 scale cars. I will also agree that it does not pull dust towards your work piece, from what I've noticed anyway.
  13. That is one superb build I wish my 1:1 S-10 looked half as good.
  14. I have no pics yet but I did get an Original Johan 1960 Desoto Adventurer Annual for free from a new friend!
  15. It looks like a Small Block Chevy. Probably the ubiquitous 350 V8. The transmission looks like a Turbo-Hydramatic 350. So it is every hot rodders favorite 350/350 combo, which is a little dated now-a-days. Hopes this helps.
  16. It is probably not going to just "bolt on" you will have to do some heavy modding. I don't have either kit so this is just an assumption.
  17. Awesome pic, love a cut-a-away of an engine. That is a Pontiac 389 with Tri-Power if anybody cares.
  18. Welcome I too am from upstate NY just not as far up as you. Warren County
  19. I spent a few hours today while at work just reading and looking. My god you do some incredible work!
  20. I will also chime and give this glue a thumbs up as well.
  21. You would have to measure out the holes yourself if using a drill press. A hobby milling machine you would be able to do what but they are really expensive.
  22. If anybody was looking to purchase anything from them I strongly suggest you do. Fantastic product, great price, and it was shipped very quickly. I will be putting in another order here soon. Thanks Steve!
