1320wayne Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 is that a hemi i see in there that car needs a shot gun hemi boss 429 The engine being used is straight out of the Jukebox Ford Top Sportsman kit.
1320wayne Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Is that scoop going to be like that on finished model, or are you going to add some decals to it? The scoop is not painted yet. I have a few different ideas for the scoop but haven't quite decided yet.
mysterj1 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 This is one of the coolest builds i've seen since I've joined this site! You really have an eye for "lines"; this car looks 225 mpg standing still!
tyrone Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Looking real good Wayne.... the snake skin decal is off the chain....
Mister Twister Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 The graphics look great Wayne and they definitely suit the car.

1320wayne Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Well, the first side is complete. All sponsor logos are in place. The hood scoop was done with a snakeskin lightning bolt pattern. I am also getting back to the engine. The carb. is added along with the start of the fuel lines. The fittings are from RB Motion. The carb. is a resin piece from Protech.
vintagedragfan Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 you are on the downhill side Wayne, looks awesome man!
1320wayne Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) Some progress on the chassis and suspension. Both front and rear suspensions and tires and wheels are in place along with the steering assembly and the wheelie bars. Everything is straight and level. Tire lettering is complete and the drivers side graphics are coming along as well. Edited September 23, 2012 by 1320wayne
cobraman Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Thats a large bottle of setting solution you have there. : )
Dyno Davo Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Wayne, despite me being a nostalgia fan this model is freakin amazing, luv the whole concept, build and the graphics are spot on, one of my favorite builds, well done.
Dr. Cranky Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 That snake pattern is so cool. Making good progress. Looking forward to more.
1320wayne Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 More progress. The body, paint and decals are all complete on both sides along with the clear coat. A week from now I will be able to rub it out to a glass smooth finish. The engine is installed along with the shortened driveshaft. The dist. is in and wired. I used a very nice piece from Scale Modeling by Chris. All fittings have been attached and painted and are now ready for braided lines to be added.
