outlaw035 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 here is the latest build from jessie's rod shop...31 ford woody rescue from ebay...cut the back off making it a pickup...chopped the top leaving the weld marks...wired and plumb the engine...installed a real wood bed...made a wrinkle seat cover for the seat...added a custom shifter knob...copy of ratrod magazine...and weathered the whole body before.... after...
rmvw guy Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Cool idea! I've never seen this done, it looks like fun.
peter31a Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 That's real cool, Neal! Though I'm afraid the headers might set the wood sides on fire!
Sixties Sam Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Looks great, but how could there be weld marks on wood?? Sam
realgone58 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Looks great, but how could there be weld marks on wood?? Sam I was thinking the same thing, but this thing sure looks awesome! Great idea.

Foxer Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 That's a great idea! One of the best looking pickups I've seen. Your subtle weathering looks just right.
pepperdrumstix Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 (edited) I have thought about making a "woody" pick-up out of this kit and I have one set aside to do this. Your's looks fine. Now I need to start again on mine. Excellent garage dio. Patrick Edited August 27, 2012 by pepperdrumstix
