krishna.iskandana
Hello again guys, Here's an old curbside kit from tamiya, a VW golf mk1. It was originally a racing car but I decided to build it as a street car. I changed the wheels to 19" inch pegasus wheels (I forgot the type). The body was spraypainted with tamiya bright mica red and clearcoated by gloss clear from gunze sangyo mr hobby. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking. Guest
That is a really cool looking little VW Krishna! I like the size of the wheels on it,but they may be a little too blingy for a race inspired car. It's still cool as all get out and makes me want to go buy one! randx0
As always nice ,clean build. I would like to see some work in progress because I suspect there is a lot more going on than just painting and slapping on some different wheels. rmvw guy
Did you mean to say 1984? I love it, just don't remember a VW Golf in '74. We had a new Rabbit in '81, the US version.
VW Dave
I like it!! Did you mean to say 1984? I love it, just don't remember a VW Golf in '74. We had a new Rabbit in '81, the US version. No, he means '74; the US market didn't get the Rabbit(Mk1 Golf to everyone else) until '75, but it was around before then in other countries. My family's earliest was a '76, followed by a '77 shortly after
rmvw guy
Thanks Dave, I wasn't aware the Golf had been around that long. I bought a new Super Beetle in '74 and something didn't line up for me. My bad. Nice model none the less, didn't mean to take from that.
