spkgibson Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I made this from a 76 dart body ,I cut the front fenders from both bodys to get the proper openings and blended in the Demon taillight panel to the dart body, The color is B3 1972-72 Dodge Super Blue, Wheels and grill are from Missing Link Resin, the body is from the AMT Dart And the Model Roundup resin kit. 2
realgone58 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Wow, that is awesome!!!!! Perfect color! If I was around to buy one of these new, that's the color I would have ordered. However, a little blackwash would really make the Missing Link stock hubcaps pop, as on the 1:1 caps.

Mike Love these caps, thanks to Missing Link................hint, hint!!!!! We need more oddball caps Kevin! Here's my '75 Dart sport with them. They used these caps on the Dart line thru '76.

72 Charger Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Very nice is the body the same as the dodge aspen? Doobie
1972coronet Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 RealGone58 : Now that is a '75 / '76 Dart Sport !!! Absolutely spot-on look ; very well-crafted !! Very nice is the body the same as the dodge aspen? Doobie Although these years look very similar to the 1976-1980 Aspen / Volare , these are actually a completely different car line ; these are "A"-bodies (1960-1976 , Valiant , Dart , et al.) , whereas the Aspen /Volare are "F"-bodies . To add insult to injury : the 1976 Duster and Dart Sport were available with a 220 hp 5.9 litre (360 c.i.d.) , whereas the 1976-1977 Aspen/Volare had a 175 hp 5.9 litre (same 360 c.i.d.) with a two barrel carb . Also , the Dart , et al. , was sans catalytic converters (!!) .

spkgibson Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 I thought I would bump this back up so people could see how to fix the incorrect Duster wheel well on the Demon Resin kits out there....And upcoming MPC kit.
spkgibson Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Here's what I'm waiting on ....But the 71'....December....grrr...oh well.
MAGNUM4342 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I quote Bart Simpson- "WHHOOOOOOAAAA MOMMA!" B) 5 outta 5 my man!
spkgibson Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Would you believe I was offered $500 for this last month? I turned the person down, He did however buy my entire Duster promo collection for a nice chunk of change, But that all went to pay for the move last month.
spkgibsonfirebird Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 I found this, it's from my old account, I sold this car a few years ago for close to $300. I'll build a new one from the new kit the same way. 1
