Dodge Rampage 2.2 "Prospector"

Neat little car/truck. I'm guessing the 'prospector' tag is some special edition pkg. Know nothing about it.

Was it N.America-wide or some local dealers group special ?

Prospector was an option package on the W and D series Dodge Trucks- not sure if it was available on the Rampage or if the owner added that later.

I remember seeing one at the U.S.Nationals in the early '80's in the pits (at the Dodge tent?). It had a slice of the cab and rear window removed to clear the front wheel/fork of a drag bike that sat in the bed. Very cool,' I wish i'd taken pics'. Thank God for i-phones today !

I used to own a 1981 regular rampage which was black with gold stripes, we had a 1981 dodge charger 2.2 when I was in high school, i loved that car.it was white with red stripes

prospector was a trim package that was an option on all 80's era dodge trock and vans this does include the rampage , but it is very rare.

My brother owns a beautiful bright red 83 Rampage. I worked for a local Chrysler dealership when they came out the 2+2 and Shelby versions sold like hotcakes.
