johnbuzzed Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) I'm thinking of using the Paxton blower from the old '57 Ford kit in conjunction with the small-block Ford/EFI setup from a Revell Deuce kit. The output fro the blower would go to the intake of the EFI setup in lieu of the hose and filter; they will be used for the blower intake. Would this be practical or would the boost blow up the EFI manifold? BTW, this will be used in the old '57 Ford. Thanks for any help, ideas or suggestions. Edited November 12, 2012 by johnbuzzed
gluebomb Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Nope, that is how it would be done if it was a real engine. Just make sure you use the upper manifold part as well. Cut off the air filter and tube, your golden. Edited November 12, 2012 by gluebomb
1972coronet Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I believe that 1957 was the year that Ford offered the Paxton as an option on the 312 ! I'd imagine that there must be images of that setup online ...

He's putting the Paxton on a 302 / 5.0 smallblock (the '57 had a Y-block) Ford with EFI (electronic fuel injection), and putting that back in the AMT '57. He's wanting to know how to plumb the Paxton to the EFI. He's got it right.
blunc Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 (edited) Just make sure you don't cross-polarize the injector wiring. This message brought to you by Rivet Counters Chapter 48 Edited November 14, 2012 by blunc
