Lunajammer Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 The fender cuts almost look like deer antlers. If you're into that kind of thing and if you're good at camo or can scrounge some camouflage decals for the body it could be a theme build. I personally wouldn't do it, I'm not a hunter but it could really work.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Interesting how the fenders almost look like flames themselves. Maybe a filp-flop color change paint to enhance the effect?
dimebolt Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Thanks Bill, and Mike. Flames were definitely the idea, but the antlers are cool idea for a hunting wagon. Corey
dimebolt Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Here are some pics of the fenders in paint. Thanks for looking. Corey
dimebolt Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Thanks Fredo, Sanding down the cab tonight. Hopefully paint on it tomorrow. Corey
Custom Mike Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 The color looks great, I want to see the rest of this baby, you done yet?
ll Brandon ll Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Wow, dude. That is some impressive work on those fenders and I really like the direction. As for the intake, Ive anted to build one like that for a project of mine, so I will be watching that too for inspiration. Do you plan to fab the carbs as well?
dimebolt Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 Thanks Brandon. No I robbed the carbs from a Lambo Countach LP500S Corey
dimebolt Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 Here are some pics of the body in paint. Have to do a small bit of sanding, and then hit with another coat of paint. Thanks for looking. Corey
1930fordpickup Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 This is cool .Nice color. I like how you opened up the back window.
dimebolt Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 Thanks Andy. Yeah, what I had for an opening was just too small. Corey
W-409 Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Wow, just saw this one.... Excellent job with it so far, Corey! Those fenders look really good, I'd like to see how those little bits of burned rubber would fly from rear tires when doing a burnout! Nice color too! This inspires me to get going with my '29 Ford Pickup Gasser again.
dimebolt Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Thanks Niko, Bill, and Danno. I was pretty nervous about cutting the fenders up, hoping that I didn't ruin them. But I'm happy with the way they turned out. Happy Turkey Day guys. Corey
dimebolt Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 Not a whole lot in the way of progress just yet, but I do have my manifold for the Weber carbs made. Thanks for looking. Corey
dimebolt Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 Thanks Richard. Progress has been slow on this one, as I'm back to work finally. But I'll keep it coming for sure. Corey
