FujimiLover Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 (edited) Just received today my "green" wide-body MR2 and my 1/43 die-cast Honda Insight! Pic's when I get back home later! As promised..................................... I just had a look at the MR2 and it look's very cool. Much like the Veilside kit, the bodykit is completely seperate, BUT! It's not resin, and it's an add-on, no requirment of cutting off factory bumpers! This should be a much easier body-build then the Veil! The wide body kit comes in several peices, an awesome two peice rear wing, sort of F-40 like. The wheels are freaking wide! I guess you could say that this is what a Toyota MR2 would look like if Koenig did Toyota's! Edited April 7, 2009 by FujimiLover

RodneyBad Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 EEEEK! I see you've got the Koenig Mercedes 500 there! Needs to get one for myself along with their 928 and I'll have the complete collection! Mine, Mine, Mine Truely a Great kit, can't wait to get started on it one day soon. Thanks George 53 Hey Dingo That's perty bad when a model is soo big and spendy, you have to make payments on it.
FujimiLover Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) While getting some paint's at LHS, I found the Fujimi Koenig SPecials Competition Spyder. I also got several paint's. For both the Koenig Ferrari's, I got Testors One Coat Laque De Ja Blue which look's like a very nice deep dark metallic blue and should be similar to convertible one I posted elsewhere. For the KS Ferrari's interior, I picked up a Light Ivory spray and a flat blue bottle for the interior and dull coat. For the wide-bodied "green" MR2, I picked up Colors By Boyd Chezoom Teal Pearl which I've used once before and I really liked it. It's another dark metallic green without being British Racing Green. For painting the Ferrari's engines, I picked up TS-30 Silver Leaf which I think was recommended for engines and might even use it on the 1/43 Ebbro Insight. I also found Graphite Metallic as it's the closest to the burnt-iron. The only burnt-iron I could find was strictly for airbrush use only. Still no proper-putty for finishing my Veil-MR2. Foxer Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I received some Awesome Kits from George 53 Today.. Left hand Drive Furrin Kits to boot too Now I feel like I really am behind in building.. "O" and I will get to these too well SURPRISE! .. I'm commenting on the Infiniti kit! I have one I'm pirating for the PE Infiniti logos in it for my G35 build. I used all the PE logos on the outside and was going to put one of the decals on the steering wheel but the decal sheet has coasted somewhere i can't locate. I'll find it eventually but have gone thru every box I can think I had open in this time. This was a good looking kit and was disappointed I have to take things from it. Maybe can do a custom or something as I'd like to build it eventually. What kind of build are you planning with it?
Foxer Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 (edited) Today was a BIG one .. I have been searching for 53 Buick trim for years as I didn't know who made this and when I finally found Replicas & Miniatures did I thought for some reason they were out of business. In my latest searches to locate this trim piece I finally connected and got it on order. This 49 Merc has been on my plate for over 15 years just because I refused to do it different than what was in my mind and NOW it can move forward! I expect to maybe see Norm Veber at NNL East and am SO glad it got here first.. ehhe The 56 Packard tail lights are destined for the Merc also. The distributor looks to be the hands down BEST model distributor I have EVER seen!!! The cap is cast properly with the wire holes in the "tubes", not just flat with holes in it. An amazing piece of work! I have to show a close up of this distributor! Edited April 16, 2009 by Foxer
Kombi Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 This is a few weeks old, but I'm pretty excited about these.
