Well, if we're going to start that stuff, I kinda like that turtle deck T and what looks like a Bantam body.

I'm afraid that it'll take me a few weeks to go through the bits and peices but you'll both get first dibbs on the things you've expressed an interest in, if I decide to swap anything out. I'm not even sure what I may be interested in as a trade right now.

ps I'm not really sure what a "turtle deck T and Bantam body" are. Is the turtle deck the blue-misted one setting on the copper colored fenders? The Bantam body? I've no clue which one it is, but I'm pretty sure it's not the giant orange pick-up!

David - yes exactly. The blue misted one looks like a turtle deck T and in the 4th pic what looks like a Bantam is to the left. Looks like grey primer with a white firewall, sitting on black fenders. Thanks for first dibbs if you decide to trade them off.

I see many hours of happiness in your future! I have a corded unit that was a gift about 15 years ago and it. does. everything!

Though it sometimes is too fast for styrene, melting rather than cutting its way through. Do you know if the cordless runs a bit slower than the corded one?

I went to Wal-Mart this morning looking for this Dremel and accessory kit - the people who work looked at me like I was from outer space. I can get them from Amazon.com priced at $29.84 Dremel, $20.48 accessories, and $9.35 keyless chuck.

Remember this post?..I've started to play with some of this toys. With the build the Aston Martin I'm working with now, I used the Finisher's GP-1 Clear, the tools washer, the Finisher's 3 stage compound set, but, the most impressive item has been the Kosutte Gin San chroming powder.

This is what I just received yesterday from Rainbow Ten, some of these items has been long waited by me. Let's see what's in the box...

Here's the complete order, in the middle line features the Gunze Sangyo Chrome Silver Metallizer(beautifull and hard to get here in the states) and Gold Metallizer along with some Mr Color lacquers. Something that I dislike from this new series is that they no longer come with the opener tip. The large Finisher's black bottle in the rear right corner, is the tool washer to be used with the urethane clear, just in case.

From Finisher's Blue foundation(to be used under silver bodies), Pink Foundation(for Ferrari reds), White foundation, and their beautifull chrome silver.

Another great from Finisher's, the compound kit, some modelers point it to be the best compund for model cars. This a 3 step kit.

Another great one and out of production for some time, now it returns under Wave brand, something positive. This is the Kosutte Gin San, it works like the metallizers. You paint the part in gloss black and then rub it to get the metallic look. I've seen it working and it's impressive. Con see it working here at 6:43:

Gundam markers for panel lines..The GM003, it's a brown marker for red color bodies, some of the most used color on my modeling. The GM300 is the eraser pen, used to erase excesive paint or wash in panel lines after being applied.

well David it only has two settings on it and the low is pretty good i was using it last night and had no problems with it. but it does melt the plastic a wee bit as i find it depends on how much force you use. Edited March 9, 2010 by moparfan426

You guys don't need to buy any chuck key with these to change tools. The black button toward the neck is how you do it. You hold it down and twist the chuck.

I have a Sears version of the Dremel corded unit. It works the same way to change tips. Some of the shafts are different sizes so I have to change the little collar inside. Wouldn't the keyless chuck eliminate the need for that?

Got my own question answered - if you have the keyless chuck, there's no need for the collets inside. The chuck accepts any shaft from 1/32 to 1/8.
