David G. Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 David If your not going to do anything with that white 2 door plymouth with police on the trunk let me know I need the glass and also let me know if you want to work out a deal on the blue Nova with 37 on the trunk. Thanks and nice haul! Well, if we're going to start that stuff, I kinda like that turtle deck T and what looks like a Bantam body. I'm afraid that it'll take me a few weeks to go through the bits and peices but you'll both get first dibbs on the things you've expressed an interest in, if I decide to swap anything out. I'm not even sure what I may be interested in as a trade right now. ps I'm not really sure what a "turtle deck T and Bantam body" are. Is the turtle deck the blue-misted one setting on the copper colored fenders? The Bantam body? I've no clue which one it is, but I'm pretty sure it's not the giant orange pick-up! Regards, David G.
crazyjim Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 David - yes exactly. The blue misted one looks like a turtle deck T and in the 4th pic what looks like a Bantam is to the left. Looks like grey primer with a white firewall, sitting on black fenders. Thanks for first dibbs if you decide to trade them off.
tuffone20 Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 David G. man that is a big haul of stuff you got there!! Now if you need any help going through it let me know as I'd be more then happy to help you with it!!

The Bantam would have a spare wheel depression in the rear deck? David G. man that is a big haul of stuff you got there!! Now if you need any help going through it let me know as I'd be more then happy to help you with it!! Thanks for the offer, but you know as well as I do that the sorting is mostly what it's about! It would be like letting someone else open my Chrismas presents. I would like to arrange to meet at the DSC show in April, though. DAG
crazyjim Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Yes, I believe the Bantam has a wheel depression in back.
Railfreak78 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Marty just wants to steal all those Chevy trucks!

David G. Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 for $53 bucks!!! 29.00 for the rotor tool and 24.00 for the bit set That's a great deal! I see many hours of happiness in your future! I have a corded unit that was a gift about 15 years ago and it. does. everything! Though it sometimes is too fast for styrene, melting rather than cutting its way through. Do you know if the cordless runs a bit slower than the corded one?
JamesW Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 for $53 bucks!!! 29.00 for the rotor tool and 24.00 for the bit set $53???? I got the SAME exact Dremel and Accessory set from Wal Mart for $20 each.
crazyjim Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I went to Wal-Mart this morning looking for this Dremel and accessory kit - the people who work looked at me like I was from outer space. I can get them from Amazon.com priced at $29.84 Dremel, $20.48 accessories, and $9.35 keyless chuck.
simonr Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Remember this post?..I've started to play with some of this toys. With the build the Aston Martin I'm working with now, I used the Finisher's GP-1 Clear, the tools washer, the Finisher's 3 stage compound set, but, the most impressive item has been the Kosutte Gin San chroming powder. Here you can see the results and a comparison picture to Alclad's Crome. Kosutte Gin San Face to face to Alclads'Chrome. I already posted general info on thia in the Workbench section. Simón P. Rivera Torres This is what I just received yesterday from Rainbow Ten, some of these items has been long waited by me. Let's see what's in the box... Here's the complete order, in the middle line features the Gunze Sangyo Chrome Silver Metallizer(beautifull and hard to get here in the states) and Gold Metallizer along with some Mr Color lacquers. Something that I dislike from this new series is that they no longer come with the opener tip. The large Finisher's black bottle in the rear right corner, is the tool washer to be used with the urethane clear, just in case. From Finisher's Blue foundation(to be used under silver bodies), Pink Foundation(for Ferrari reds), White foundation, and their beautifull chrome silver. Another great product from Finisher's, the Urethane GP-1 clear. See how it being, here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/...inisher%27s+gp1 Another great from Finisher's, the compound kit, some modelers point it to be the best compund for model cars. This a 3 step kit. Both compound and GP-1 urethane clear, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qhyo4Z50Po http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0CfkiW51Us Another great one and out of production for some time, now it returns under Wave brand, something positive. This is the Kosutte Gin San, it works like the metallizers. You paint the part in gloss black and then rub it to get the metallic look. I've seen it working and it's impressive. Con see it working here at 6:43: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=984KU6mwQ5s Super Clear III from the Gunze Gundam lacquer line Gundam markers for panel lines..The GM003, it's a brown marker for red color bodies, some of the most used color on my modeling. The GM300 is the eraser pen, used to erase excesive paint or wash in panel lines after being applied. I guess I will have enough goodies to play with my new project that is already in production, some pictures soon... Blake Rogers Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) That's a great deal! I see many hours of happiness in your future! I have a corded unit that was a gift about 15 years ago and it. does. everything! Though it sometimes is too fast for styrene, melting rather than cutting its way through. Do you know if the cordless runs a bit slower than the corded one? well David it only has two settings on it and the low is pretty good i was using it last night and had no problems with it. but it does melt the plastic a wee bit as i find it depends on how much force you use. Railfreak78 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 You guys don't need to buy any chuck key with these to change tools. The black button toward the neck is how you do it. You hold it down and twist the chuck.
Blake Rogers Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 i know i was joking around lol but my set did come with one!!! meh

crazyjim Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) I have a Sears version of the Dremel corded unit. It works the same way to change tips. Some of the shafts are different sizes so I have to change the little collar inside. Wouldn't the keyless chuck eliminate the need for that? Got my own question answered - if you have the keyless chuck, there's no need for the collets inside. The chuck accepts any shaft from 1/32 to 1/8. Edited March 9, 2010 by crazyjim
Car Crazy 81 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I'd picked up some Dupli-Color paint from Advance Auto Parts which i'd heard about they had a sale through this great forum. The big cans were $3.30 the regular price for these cans are $ 6.49 thats half the price and the small cans were $ 2.75 the regular price $ 5.29 talk about a deal which i'd couldnt pass up the colors i'd picked out was Bahama Blue Metallic & 2 cans of Sandable Black Primer .
Railfreak78 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Cool Batmobile Marty and Toby says bout time you got back to your skill level with the snap kits so, since the level 2 kits are challenging for you, you should give them to him
