I got all these in the second picture in trade for 1 custom pumper. Not the one in the 1st pic and then a still sealed lafrance pumper along with it.

The 2 trucks and trailers are the monogram? or revell 1/16th trucks. I had no idea that they were this huge until I saw them in person!!

The two trucks and trailer are in fact the Monogram 1/16 scale trucks, YOU LUCKY DOG!!! I wish I could get that lucky in a trade!

What did I get today???

A NEW JOB!!!!

After being out of work for over 2 years, I start tomorrow driving a pilot car, and for those of you who aren't up on trucking, that is the escort vehicle that goes in front of oversized loads. Marcelles shale natural gas drilling is starting to become a really big thing around this area, and I'm going to be escorting the drilling trucks back and forth our tiny little country roads to and from the drill rigs.

Odd, I always referred to Pilot cars as those guys with amber blinkie lights that block the road when I'm trying to get someplace

Well congrats on getting a job, now you have to finish a model for Pittsburgh!

Well, I'm sure I'll be doing that too!! And make sure I get your truck number, I'll be sure to get in your way when you're passing through!!

Yeah, but now I wish I would have worked a little harder on models earlier this summer, I barely touched any and now I'm going to be working 12 hour days! Hopefully I can at least get the big Ford done for there, I might actually be able to afford to go now!!

Terrific news, Highway. Good luck.

Today the mailman delivered a front & rear tire for a Revell 1/12 bike I ordered. They were free from Revell. I thought I had a "Gambler" but it's not. The oil tanks are completely different, so I don't know what I have.

:D:lol:

Drove over a broken piece of a rat-tail file. Yep- not a nail. Not a screw, not a sharp stone. A broken rat-tail file!

Note that the techinque works best only on hollow, pneumatic tires.

:P

This can't be natural. A repeating code like that could only be made by intelligent life. Oh yes, there's someone... or should we say, something out there.
