Hollywood Jim Posted December 8, 2012 Author Posted December 8, 2012 Thank you guys !! This diorama is supposed to be non-serious and just for laughs..... . .
Hollywood Jim Posted December 10, 2012 Author Posted December 10, 2012 I have one more clown to paint. On this clown I want to hang a billboard. I have an idea for this billboard clown that I will show you later. So I searched the internet for circus posters that would be advertising a circus coming to town. While searching I found this circus poster. Although it is not good for the billboard, I love this poster. It is so cool !!! So here are the two posters that I will use. I reduced the size and printed out the posters for the billboard. Here is the finished clown. . . . . .
Mister Twister Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Very kewl Hollywood....I like it all! Nice pics and documentation also.
Danno Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Just keeps getting better and better! The Clown Fire Truck will fit right in!
Hollywood Jim Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 I have been thinking about the layout of this diorama. I was going to build a single ring circus with the backdrop and maybe a small audience. Kind of like this. But then shooting a guy out of a cannon might need more space. I decided to change the layout to a street scene. And have a “circus coming to town” parade. Much more simple. So here is the new story line. The homie figure’s name is Choco. Choco left the hood and joined the circus. One day the human cannonball got hurt so they got Choco to fill in. When the circus came to Choco’s hood, all of Choco’s old friends came out to see him. Step one, I built a sidewalk. I separated the homies and some other figures I have into not in scale (too cartoon looking) and in scale. These guys are too cartoon looking. These guys are much more real looking. These will be Choco’s friends. . . . . .
Danno Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 . . . not unlike a typical club meeting . . . . . . not unlike a typical club meeting . . .
Hollywood Jim Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) . . . not unlike a typical club meeting . . . Yeah come to think of it Dan, it does look just like one of our model car club meetings. Except I forgot to add your character. So I decided to add one more. Thanks for the great idea. . . .
