Scottnkat Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Here's my Cadillac. This was done box-stock. I had originally planned on doing some things to it, but it went together so easily and I thought it looked good as is, so I ended up not doing anything extra to it. Paint is Krylon Short cuts Hot Pink. Here's a shot from over the rear deck: Finally, here it is with the top on:
slusher Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Very clean build. You really did a nice job on the interior. l also use Krylon short cuts really good paint...
Lunajammer Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Hard to believe this kit is old now. I remember the buzz it created when it came out about how crisp and detailed it was and you did a great job with it. I remember people at the time saying there's really not much extra to add.
Bartster Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Very beautiful. l've always wanted to build a hardtop. Everything looks perfect here ! Bart.
Scottnkat Posted December 8, 2012 Author Posted December 8, 2012 Thank you, all. This was a fun little kit and I really enjoyed building this one
lotno249 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Nice! Fins, fins, and more fins I say. Love that pink. DJ
Scottnkat Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 Thanks, guys - I appreciate the comments
surfjunke Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Very nice clean build. Perfect color choice & nice finish.
bbowser Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Must belong to Elvis? Great job, my all time favorite car. American excess epitomized.
Mike Muncy Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Beautiful car man, I love the color combo on it!
Gluebomber Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Really nice job, Scott. I've had this kit on my project list for a couple of years. Your model might get me going on it. Is all the chrome trim Bare Metal Foil?
Scottnkat Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 Thank you all for the kind words. Larry, it is all BMF. I used the regular chrome sheet. If I were to do it again, I'd do the ultra bright chrome so it would match the kit chrome a little more.
Scottnkat Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 that's cool, Derick - I hope she has fun with it. My wife builds models too (as do most of my kids). It's a nice hobby to do together
