(Stands up and clears throat)

Hi, I'm Steve (aka Pandamonium) and i,ve been addicted to plastics since i was 7, i think thats about the age when i put my first kit together? I believe it was an open wheel indy car, this would have been around 69, So old school that the tires were still made out of the same plastic as the kit..I was hooked! i remember the kid up the street was into modeling and a couple of years older than me, but i would hang around him just to catch some of the magic from the kits he was into.

I build mostly Muscle cars, a few Pick ups and have tackled at least 5 Semi's with trailers, a couple of airplanes, Also tried (without success) to start and finish the "Cutty Sark" complete with sails.

So far i've just been lurking around, reading posts and tips from all of you, many i have found quite helpful. This looks like a pretty fun place to hang out and swap ideas and photos..I believe that i have alot to offer and alot i could learn at the same time.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you, If you welcome me to the community..

I just got fired up over a project car i started 11 years ago (69 Vette) deciding it had been long enough..time to finish..Got some cool photos i'll share soon on this one..

Till then...Hello!

Welcome Steve, I like your avatar! There is a lot to learn here, some fantastic builders/artists. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

BTW I sympathize with the Cutty Sark. Many years ago I spent about a year on "Old Ironsides" complete with sails and 14 different sizes of thread for rigging, I finished it but by the end it wasn't any fun anymore

Hello, Steve? Anyone ever tell you you bear a strong resemblance to Butters? B)

No, I don't really look like him, Just think he's cool..I have been mistaken for a Bear in the mornings though.

Welcome back to the plastic! :)

(If you're refering to the 11 year project) ? I haven't been away from plastic for 11 years, just that one project. I ran into some issues with the customizing and couldn't figure out how to get around it, so i boxed it up and waited it out. I was amazed at how fast it went together after the break though.

Isn't that the way? Sometimes storage is good. You come back to it fresh and wonder why you got all bent out of shape over some obstacle that stalled you out and made you lose interest. Sadly, sometimes 11 years isn't enough. Welcome to the dark side.
