What chip? Ask anyone who knows me, I'm more of an older Camaro guy. That's why I have more of them than Corvettes. My Corvette is just a daily driver. Great mileage, runs on regular, doesn't collect door dings. Just a simple matter of practicality. Those who own know, those who covet... well... But then again, it is a nice daily driver...

Would I be embarrased to be seen in a Corvette? Well, having driven a couple, I can say absolutely not in my case.

Would I care about what people think of me if they see me in a Corvette? Nope, but I don't care what people think of me in any other circumstance either. More people need to adopt that mentality, if you ask me. :D

Am I jealous of Corvette owners? Again, absolutely not. On the other hand if you are driving an Aston Martin DBS, not only am I jealous of you, I hate you simply because of it. B)

........................ Id rather rock a 370 Nismo over a vette, maybe my opinion about them will change when i hit 65. To me a cool corvette stops at C3.

Try wringing one out before you make up your mind. A C5 goes like hell, handles like a slot-car and is about as reliable as a brick. Kinda hard to beat for the money, and the C6 is even better, so everyone tells me (I haven't driven one yet). If they keep the same engineering team on the C7 that did the last two, it should be pretty incredible.

And while it's true a lot of geezers (you know, guys my age) showboat / slowboat around in them, when you want to hammer a car, it's everything it should be.
