Nissan R35 GTR , black beauty

Here is Aoshimas 2012 Nissan GTR R35 kit, I used Scale Finishes Nissan black obsidian paint, clear coated with Mr Hobby , but I had to wetsand and polish it out, but it left a lot of scratches in the paint, I used Meguiars scratch x, but it didn’t help, I also lost both front side indicator lense’s, I am going to get some epoxy I think and try and fill the spots for them

Thank you, I forgot to mention the carbon fiber hood, what you see is try number three, the second time was the charm, but I clear coated it, and the clear at the carbon decals, and it was on perfect, and try number three did not work very well.

Awesome build of an amazing car,Jonathan! Looks menacing in black with the CF hood :D I had the great pleasure to roll behind and beside one of these just before selling my Stang (in the avatar, ran lower mid 13's on bald street tires, looked stock more or less-the look on Hemi Challenger and Camaro SS diver's faces? Priceless :P )...I must have pestered him too much on the highway,as at a lone redlight (with nothing but empty 4 lane ahead) he revved his,I revved mine, the light turned green and...and.......and.........he was gone,LMBO! :P

Your build looks really nice. :) Somebody had a way of faking a "carbon fiber" look by using a black base coat, then covering the piece with mesh and spraying a dark metallic grey. That might be something to keep in mind if you keep having issues with the decals.
