Scale-Master
Fresh off the lathe, one of the fuel filters. Still needs paint and detailing.
Scale-Master
I have been building this for exactly two years as of today. It now weighs 1.75 pounds.
Harry P.
I have been building this for exactly two years as of today. It now weighs 1.75 pounds. And the relevance of what it weighs is...? Just wondering. I never heard of anyone weighing a model and reporting on that.
Scale-Master
Just a point that it is getting some meat on it. It is certainly heavier than most kits I've built.
Codi
Your fabrication skills and eye for detail are very impressive no matter what scale it might be. I especially like and appreciate your machining abilities. The quality really shows. Enjoying your posts as you near completion. Cheers
Harry P.
Just a point that it is getting some meat on it. It is certainly heavier than most kits I've built. If effort and skill were added in, it would weigh a lot more! Very impressive work, to say the least. I have never seen better scratchbuilding. Scale-Master
Thanks Harry. I went back and cut the DC logo into the muffler. Not all that visible under the heat shield, but it is there. It’s a little easier to see in person. Was it worth the time and effort to add it? Beats me, but I wanted to see what it would look like. Pete J.
Was it worth it? What does it matter? You wanted to do it. That is all that counts since this one is for you. You are your own worst critic and best customer.
MoparWoman Jamie
Was it worth it? lets see here, each detail you add is worth something an shows people the level you went to. You sir have a very nice model car here that you have built an is very detailed in it's own way.
Scale-Master
Thanks guys. It was worth it just for the entertainment. I finished the tie rod ends w/adjusters. Mostly brass with some aluminum. Purposely some wear to them as they tend to get some tool marks from being adjusted. I also got the upper control arm bushings and keepers made and installed. Art Laski
Looks great, Mark. I love the logo in the muffler, even if it isn't well seen. Did you mill it?
Crazy Ed
Ya know Mark, if you're planning to display that in Public or Contests you're gonna need to put it under one of those Sneeze Guards from a Salad Bar to keep the Drool off of it! Scale-Master
No Art, I acid cut it. This is the coolant overflow reservoir. Aluminum with a brass mounting bracket.
Scale-Master
The thermostat housing/coolant cap is done and the overflow tank is installed and all the cooling system is plumbed. More wiring has been added (including the battery cables) also the water temperature & oil pressure senders and speedometer cable.

vintagedragfan
Hi Mark, you have really made some ground on this build, it looks like you are in the home stretch, most impressive as usual !! hope to see it in person some day, Bill
DynoMight
Mark this build is pure uniqueness. You take scratch building to the next level.
Scale-Master
Thanks guys. Yeah I think I am in the final stretch too. But I still have no real idea when it will be finished. At least I'm not burned out on it.
Scale-Master
The side body panels are on for the final time. I’ll install the panel below the header after I finish bolting them all the way on. The rear body work is coming along as well, but other details need to be made and installed inside of it before final installation to the frame. sjordan2
Continually stunning. This may be the best, and most instructional work I've seen on this board or any of the other ones where you post it.

Scale-Master
Thanks guys! And Merry Christmas to all! The firewall/scuttle is pretty much done and permanently affixed. Except for the soft lines to the front calipers the brake system is done too.
