For the proud owner of this beautiful Austin Healey 3000 I am going finish this 1:18 replica of his car. He already started on the project by disassambling one model. He also removed all the paint.

The base model the owner started on didn't have the louvers on the side so I got another model withe the louvres. Before cutting up the models I first fitted the doors, bonnet and boot.

Then I connected both models.

With the paint on the models looks quite different

The Healey has an unpainted metal strip between the body and the wings so I need make that on the model as well

Also the engine differs from the actual car. 2 in stead of 3 carbs, different colour. A before and after picture.

Also some small mods on the interior like colour of the steering wheel and a fire extinguisher

The chassis was a bit damaged so that is repaired with some glue

Large Austin Healey logo's on the carpets but you need a keen eye to spot them...
