  1. I love this project! Especially the detailed and step by step photos! What did you use for window- and door frames? They idea with the tin foil for the burning barrell was creative!
  2. I like it! Were the letters 'Dodge' on the tail gate handpIainted? They look flawless!
  3. That makes sense Tom! The few photos I've seen online and in Model Cars Magazine were very impressive!
  4. Dieseldawg, Your camper project looks promising! Seriously, I would love to see a thread with your progress! Love your 1:1 Camper truck too! Thank you for sharing this!!
  5. I love this truck! I looked at the Modelhaus web site, but they do not seem to have pictures of any of their kits. That is a bit of a bummer. I always wanted to get one of their kits. Looking forward to more photos of your great project!
  6. Thank you Dielesdawg! I agree, RV models would help to create great dioramas. I would love to see your scratchbuild camper in progress. Please post photos, or direct me to your post if you have a thread about it already!
  7. I like it! Great detail! British trucks are one of a kind. Can't wait to see more of this!
  8. We're getting there. Need to add a few more details, but it's coming along.
  9. I love this! I admire your courage to built in this large scale! It takes up a lot of space, but allows for great detail. Like your stash of kits alongside the wall too!
  10. Wow! 10.000! You can built a model of the Eiffel Tower with that many! :-) Good deal!
  11. Welzeker ouwe jongen! I was born and raised in good old Utrecht. :-)
  12. I never gave the 1/32 scale much thought. But thanks to your great project, I googled to see what type of model cars are out there in that size. I was surprised. I like the size in particular, because it keeps the dioramas relativley small, but not too small. Thanks for sharing you project with us!
  13. Fantastic! It looks very good! It so cool that you were able to turn a relatively plasticy looking kids garage into this professional looking diorama!!
  14. Awesome! I really like it. What type of wood are you using and where did you get it?
  15. Richard, I found them at staples.com, for $ 2.99. About 70 % of the sticks are good to use. A few are warped, but some you can still bend back to a more useable shape. Some have nice woodgrain in it, makes it look very real! What I particullarly like about these sticks is that they have square ends, not rounded ends. Plus you can cut them to size with scissors if needed.
  16. Hi Tom, well, I built the camper two years ago. So it is already finished. I've been looking for a donor car ever since. I have not figured out how to connect the two.
  17. Thank you Tom, Craig and Kurt for explaining about the Cadillac ambulances and hearses. It starts to make sense now why people chopped them up, and why they might have been inexpensive, yet with low mileage.
  18. What a wealth of information! Thanks for posting that question Jordan! We all benefit from the great replies.
  19. What a great diorama! I thought these were 1:1 photos. Everything looks so real.
  20. Ok, here we go! I found my donor car. I was looking for a relatively boring average car, then I would not mind cutting it in half for my project. But my hobby store had only cool cars! So if I HAD to pick a cool car, it better be a real cool one. I picked the 1957 Chevy from Revell. I also have a 1966 Mustang kit, but, seriously, I could not cut that one in half. That would be blasphemy! Here are some pictures:
  21. Dave, Thank you for sharing your blog photos! I love these type of conversions. They are definitely an aquired taste! They always make me smile though. I'm all exited now to start on my project.
