  1. I bought this Open Road Camper kit from AMT. It was a fun built. The camper did not come with a truck. I understand this is a re-issue, and the original release came with a Chevy truck. I'm trying to find a donor truck that I can use to put in front of the camper. I have a 1955 Cameo, and a 1941 Chevy truck that I may use. I'm not sure if they will fit. Using the 1941 Chevy will require cutting it in half. I don't like that. The 1955 Cameo already comes in 2 pieces. I think I will start with that one.
  2. I like the wheels. What is the grey color on the interior? A decall?
  3. awesome detail on the dash board!
  4. Great job. All scratch built I presume? Very inspiring!
  5. Thank you for your input. I like the spoon test, and the suggestion to buy the actual car paint, instead of model car paint. I grew up in Europe, and they have different types of model car paint there. there was never a need to use spray paint. The modelcar paint was a smooth as olive oil. Even if you painted your entire car with just a brush, you would never see any brush strokes, because of the oily paint, it evened out nicely. But the american model car paint is very different. The paint dries fast and always leaves streaks. Larger surfaces just have to be done with spray paint otherwise it does not look good.. I never liked spray paint, but I have no option. ButI'm not giving up! :-) Thanks for you advice!
  6. What a great diorama! It proves that a diorama does not have to be overly detailed or large. It looks great in all it's simplicity. Very well done! Great piece to use for photos of your cars!
  7. Hi, I bought the Revell 2010 Ford Mustang Convertible kit. It was molded in a gold color. I want to paint it red, because I actually own a real 2010 Red Mustang. I wanted to spray paint a white primer on the kit car and then a bright red finish color. My question is: Is the white primer going to make the red look good? Or should I try an Orange, or Yellow undercoat? I'm a newbie when it comes to spray painting.
  8. Awesome! I like the color choices. I just bought this kit. Can't wait to start with it.
  9. Fantastic! May I ask what type and thickness of plastic you used, and more importantly, how were you able to bend it?
