Antikainen Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) Well well, it´s time to reveal pics of this previously highly classified vehiche which is rumoured to have been Red Barons personal transportation during ww.. vw.. OK, let´s cut the bs. Here is my imaginary vision of one srange bug. Gunze kit with custom paint, lowered stance, modelhaus swamp cooler, aluminium spun hubcaps and some scratchbuild and PE parts. Boy this was fun to build! Edited January 14, 2013 by Antikainen
Shelby 427 1965 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 That's... That is... Oh wow. That's Hot.
jrherald420 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Sweet, did you do all the lines and rivets with a Sharpie? Turned out really nice!
philo426 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Awesome!I'm digging the rivets and the swamp cooler!
Erik Smith Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I like that. Cool concept and execution. I like the wheels - the slight set back on the discs really set them off well. Really cool roof rack, too. The Baron could slide his surf board up there and head to the, uh, well, drive around with a surf board. Nice work.
cobraman Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 What the ? On second glance I really like it.
TooOld Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Very cool ! Love the paint and the roof rack and the wheels and . . .
Dragline Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Cooler than the other side of the pillow... The weathered wood on the top rack is a nice touch. Bob
RatRod Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Very nice work!!! The whole thing is insane in a good way...

farmer1 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 That's really cool ! I'm thinking maybe some spare parts for his plane on the roof rack?
slusher Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 That is a really unique, Cool concept and paint. a great build...
Dr. Cranky Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I love it. Excellent idea. I am assuming you used an ink pen for the lines and rivets, right?
Antikainen Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 Thanks for kind words all you people! Paint: Tamiya light gun metal + tamiya pearl clear + some light sanding to get rid of excess shine. Ink pen for lines and rivets. Lines and rivets are ment to look quickly free hand painted, they are not ment to replicate real ones. I have had a little piece of red tinted acetate for a long now, been saving it for some gasser model.. but decided to use it for this one instead. Oh, and here is the only pic I have from interior:
