1959scudetto Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Super Truck, Randy!!!I have saved the pics as an inspiration for mine that I built 30 years ago as a logger, but ruined it with too much weathering - must be restored/rebuilt some day.Absolutely great what you show us here!!!
flatbedfrankie Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Great looking rig. The yellow color really pops. I seen a similar setup on a heavy duty Peterbilt at my local Peterbilt dealer. Looks fantastic!

Swamp Dog Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 thats a really fine build u have ..if u want to do weathering..get u some pastels..about 8 $ at wally world..try them out on a old build up..take your acto knife and shave the sticks to power..than u can mix up any color..i love them..
7000in5th Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 (edited) Fantastic job, Randy. It warms my heart to see a well done International! Just one bit of trivia - when that kit was first produced, Ertl got the instructions, the holes in the hood and the box art for the air intake on the left side hood oriented 90 degrees off. The bars should not be horizontal but rather should be vertical, as shown here: The kit has never been corrected. By the way, weathering is fun. The picture above is a good example of a well used truck and the colors involved. Keep those Internationals rolling!! Edited February 20, 2013 by 7000in5th
farmer1 Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Thanks David, I can't believe I missed that detail for the air intake. I have a lot of pics of these but never noticed that one, duhhh. should be easy enough to fix though and its gonna bother me til I do.............uhhhh excuse me a moment..............ok, its better now Edited February 24, 2013 by farmer1

Henchmen4Hire Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 That is one manly truck, I tell you whut lol Inspiring! I hope I find a model that rugged and cool someday, all I see are modern curvy rigs.
ap40rocktruck Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Colors are great & the 12 x 24 boots make it stand tall & mean. Interesting use of Mack wheels, but spokes are better that chrome junk in the kit. Ap40
