Green Duster Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) See this on another forum. Anybody know who makes it? Edited February 14, 2013 by Green Duster
RAT-T Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE OFF EBAY, THIS IS THE CURRENT SELLER FOR THE CASTER http://www.ebay.com/itm/390538703967?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_663wt_1000
gtx6970 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 AFXnScale is the manufacture , just sold thru a secondary outlet
john sharisky Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Motor City Resin sells a '67 Fury 1 wagon. Their newer castings have an incredible shiny surface. I think that they polish the molds. John
jeffb Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 thats not mine. i do polish my masters. it makes for a much better casting
Rob Hall Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 AF/X resins wagon is a Belvedere, I think? R&R makes a Belvedere wagon also.
charlie8575 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I wonder if AFX stretched the chassis out to the correct 116" wheelbase? Charlie Larkin
johnbuzzed Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 But which model wagon is this? It's hard to see in the small picture...
Rob Hall Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 But which model wagon is this? It's hard to see in the small picture... Looks like a midsize to me (Belvedere).
johnbuzzed Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I just checked the Motor City website; they offer a '68 Fury 1 wagon transkit.
Green Duster Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 Well guys. I was checking around. Found out that Steve Kohler over at Star Resin has the R&R resin wagon. Yes it is a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere. I'm thinking about getting it from him. Only wants 38 bucks and shipping. I have dealt with him before. Just going to check on availbility.
Yahshu Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 For those wanting larger pics There is also someone who does a bench seat but I can't remember from whom I purchased it from
Edsel-Dan Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I want one of those. The Supervisor drove one in the Pilot of Adam-12!!
gtx6970 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I can't say I've ever seen that style bench seat in any 1/1 before

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD DEAL, I PAID UNDER $20 INCLUDING SHIPPING FROM THE GUY ON EBAY, BUT THAT WAS JUST THE BODY, NO INT TUB
realgone58 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 This body is WAY off. Look at the doors and side windows. I won't be buying one. Here's the 1:1.
george 53 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Just from lookin at the interior bucket you can tell it's an R&R kit. THAT'S for SURE Rays sloppy work. But,if he's the only game in town, your stuck.
RAT-T Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 This body is WAY off. Look at the doors and side windows. I won't be buying one. Here's the 1:1. ALAN, IT'S HARD FOR ME TO SEE THE RESIN BODY, I CAN SEE THE B-PILLER NEEDS TO GO BACK, WHAT ELSE IS WRONG?
Erik Smith Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 ALAN, IT'S HARD FOR ME TO SEE THE RESIN BODY, I CAN SEE THE B-PILLER NEEDS TO GO BACK, WHAT ELSE IS WRONG? I have one of these too - fairly rough. The door handles are located too high on the body in addition to the pillar discrepancies..
realgone58 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Yes, B pillar needs to go back, rear door is too long, and look at the body at the base of the C pillar.
Steven Zimmerman Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Why don't one of you who are so willing to criticize this, buy one and fix it ? Put your money where your mouth is.Why don't one of you who are so willing to criticize this, buy one and fix it ? Put your money where your mouth is.
johnbuzzed Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Wow, dude, chill- not everyone has the abilities nor wants to do all kinds of body mods. Many people would like to buy and use something that is more accurate; more true to the real thing, without a LOT of additional work. Otherwise, we would all be buying plastic pellets and injection molding our own whatevers.
mikemodeler Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 This is typical of the hobby- we want a vehicle that cannot be justified to kit up and when a resin copy comes along, it gets ripped to shreds over the inaccuracy. I see both arguments here- thankful to have something not available in kit form and yet, why bother when the body proportions are noticeably off? Having never built a resin master or converting an existing body into something else, I can't say what goes into the process but it must take some work or else we would have resin copies of EVERYTHING!
Rob Hall Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 (edited) Some resin kits are accurate and high quality, some are not so much...this falls into the latter category. I do wonder why some resin casters even bother if they can't get the body shape and details accurate. This one isn't at the same level as a TKM resin kit though....
