Chuck Most Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 After a mishap with the body, this one got shelved. But now it's back, and I'm taking it in a slightly different direction. To recap... The completed chassis. The in-progress spares for the roof rack. And the new body... I wasn't fond of the Jimmy Flintstone phantom wagon body when it first came out, but it grew on me the more I saw it so I finally pulled the trigger on one. That roof rack is from the Ecto 1a kit- it'll need to be shortened and have the legs modified to fit better against the roof, but I think it'll work well enough.
mr.camaro Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 That's a rare zombie Hunter. Good idea I will be watching this one!
Chuck Most Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 That's a rare zombie Hunter. Good idea I will be watching this one! No zombies, thanks. That whole genre is beyond worn out. I'm throwing a 'The Walking Dead is getting canceled' party next weekend.
Dominik Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 You have my attention for this Chuck. Would it be a "Ghostbuster Ecto 0.5"? hmmmm....
Modlbldr Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 No zombies, thanks. That whole genre is beyond worn out. I'm throwing a 'The Walking Dead is getting canceled' party next weekend. I'm with you. I love the build but can't handle the theme. I'd rather see it built as a hotel shuttle car from the 50's. Later-
Zarana-X Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 I don't mind zombies, but I don't mix them in MY apocalypse. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Erik Smith Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 No zombies, thanks. That whole genre is beyond worn out. I'm throwing a 'The Walking Dead is getting canceled' party next weekend. Are there still zombies on the walking dead? I like the wagon body - let's see where it goes...
Chuck Most Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 Paint and weathering has begun, and the roof rack has been modified to fit the Hudson's roof.
Chuck Most Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 The tank is weathered and decaled, and the roof rack is permanently in place. Spare tire rack is ready to go. Robbed some decals from an AMT C-600 and Revell '77 GMC. For whatever reason, I feel compelled to add a ton of auxillary lights to this thing. So that's exactly what I'm doing...
Dominik Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Oh Chuck....i love your weathering. Even when i look at another weathered car from you i think "buddie, this skill i want to have...". Love it!
Chuck Most Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 Might be pretty close to calling it done. Not sure yet...
shucky Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 awesome Chuck! Always a fan of your creative builds.
Foxer Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I love the concrete block traction device. The whole thing looks great .. wonderful weathering!
